Jim Mowat
Jim Mowat, as Margaret mentioned earlier. Died on Christmas day at the age of 87. Jim was well known in the West of Scotland and worked for Social work and blind welfare most of his life. Even though being totally blind, nothing deterred him and his great passion was sailing and he was a founder member of the Sailing club for the Blind. Peter interviewed him on board is yacht on Firth of Clyde, and again When he joined the crew of a sailing ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean, Peter talked to him in 1993 about the experience.
Gordon Waddell reflects

Changes at Guide Dogs for the Blind
Recently guide dog owners received a letter from Guide Dog Association telling them  about new ways to make contact with the Group.
