Andrew Miller’s Garden Party – We were sorry to hear of the recent death of Andrew Miller from Colchester. Andrew was an active member in his local talking newspaper and for a time, a member of the committee of the National Talking Newspaper Association. Originally from Paisley he was a regular contributor, along with his partner Marjory, to Playback. This is one of his programmes about a visit to a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.

125 years of Scottish Brass Band Association – This month on 7/8 March the 125th Scottish Brass Band Championships take place in Perth Concert Hall. Also The Kirkintilloch Band celebrates 130 years and Peter Fraser celebrates 70 years when he first joined The Kirkintilloch Band at the age of 12. John spoke to Peter about his involvement, also about the history of Brass Bands in Scotland.

Electric Buses and Cars – Margaret & Brian recently took a trip in one of the new Electric Buses. They were then was joined by Margaret’s Brother in law Brian Lowe, to test a new Renault Zoe electric Car.
